They say the truth shall set you free. Live truthfully, Speak truthfully, and interact with others truthfully. If those are markers for living a decent life....then those that govern us, or want to, need a painfully large dose of it.
   I cannot understand why it is so hard for our president and our congressional leaders to be honest with the American people.  We see what is going on around us, and only a fool can be in denial of the dangers we face in this world. Yet, as we experience it, as we live our daily lives, the American people are fed a diet of lies each and every day from people we should be able to trust. Big lies, little lies, Democrat lies, and Republican lies.
On issues from Immigration, to the war in Iraq, from terrorism to abortion to education.....truth is in painfully short supply in Washington.
  My purpose in this blog is to try in some small way to shine the light of truth on issues that we deal with every day, and hopefully there will be those who will see that the truth is refreshing, liberating, and needed for each of us and this great country to survive in a very dangerous, and messed up world.
